Submission of manuscripts in word processor form.

If you do not know about HTML, you could try to find someone to do it for you. There is always a post-doc or student who know about these things. However, if you want, we are willing to convert manuscripts in word processor form. Contributions in the following formats should be OK,

Usually it is best to save in rtf format as well as the native format of the Word Processor and send both files.

Tables

Tables in most WP prgrammes convert OK. But if you have a colleague who is HTML aware, it would be a good idea to ask him to use a programme such as MS frontpage or Word97 to check that they convert to HTML

Excel spreadsheets also seem to convert to HTML format, but make sure that the page is in portrait rather than landscape orientation

Graphs

Graphs must be saved as an image rather than the graph drawing package format. For example, cricket graph (mac) allows the option of saving as a pict format (call the image name.pct). Other acceptable formats are .wmf, .bmp., .tiff. You can send them as separate files if you want, but make sure that it is obvious what file belongs where in the text. e.g. if you have fig.1 in the text, call the file fig1.bmp etc. Better still is to paste the file into the text at the correct point. e.g. in Word, use the insert image menu command. Remember to use large font sizes for the axis so that it can be read on screen easily.
