This is an important paper based on solid scientific data. I would like to raise a somewhat general question concerning the animal model chosen in these studies. The photoreactivity and systemic effects are evaluated usually in many different animal models.Why is it that you prefer the rat model? Is it as with carcinogenicity and metabolic studies that the rat seems to be somewhat closer to humans than mice for example? Again congratulations, and best regards, Dietrich Averbeck
