Dear Prof. Averbeck, thank you for your comment. To further elucidate possible different pathways leading to UV-apoptosis we currently reconstitute wild type p53 in our cell line and repeat the experiments with these cells. A recent paper by Curtois et al (Exp.Cell Res.233:135f,1997). addressed a similar question. Kindest regards, Franz Trautinger
